Washington State law allows a parent to leave their unharmed

newborn, up to 3 days old, with an employee at any hospital,

staffed fire station or Federal Designated rural health clinic

in the state during its hours of operation.

Tell the employee you want to leave your newborn as a

"Safe Place Newborn." Your baby will be given any

needed medical attention, then placed in foster care

for adoption.

It's confidential -- you don't even have to leave your name.
